Nearby Acivities & Attractions

The HomesteadBath County Virginia, home to Camp ACCOVAC, may not have any stoplights (really, not even one!) but don't be mistaken in thinking there is nothing to do.  The Homestead resort in nearby Hot Springs, VA is one of the oldest resorts in the country and has one of the oldest golf courses in the U.S.  Soaking in the Warm Springs spa.  There  is boating on Lake Moomaw, tubing on the Cowpasture River (ironically the cleanest river in the state), or kayaking on the Cowpasture, Jackson, or Maurie Rivers.  These rivers are home to some of the best fresh water fishing in the State.  In the winter you can take to the slopes at the nearby Homestead ski resort.  We're also just 1.5 hours from Snowshoe Ski Resort in West Virginia, the largest ski resort in the Southeast.  Here is just a brief list of nearby activities for your family, group, or church to see and do.  What are you waiting for?  Loads of fun and beautiful vistas are waiting for you any season of the year.
